Based on chemical features: This species is close to Limacella subillinita morphologically; however, preliminary molecular results suggest that it might be distinct. Better to err on the side of caution and give it a temporary code number. RET

We have been able to derived DNA sequences from this material. As you can see, I have been cautious and assigned the species a temporary code name. It is very close to Limacella subillinita, an we will investigate the possibility of problems in the sequencing process. For the moment we have a code name and a relationship to subillinita.

Very best,

Thanks Eduardo,

Once again, you have found an interesting species that may belong in Limacella

Cristina and I would be very interested in examining this material. I doesn’t seem that the young specimen has the intense color of a young glischra.
