Observation 134471: Gymnopilus P. Karst.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Was found growing in a wooded field area where cattle graze. Very minimal undergrowth. Was on a rotting limb from an apparent oak tree. Was in clumps.

Habitat:
Found on rotting wood. Seemed to be oak. In a wooded field pasture area.

Gills:
Rusty Orange

Stem:
2 inches long, lighter orange, slightly tough/leathery but easily able to tear

Cap:
Also leathery, but keep in mind they are slightly dry, and a day or 2 into spore cycle.

Spore print color:
Light to bright orange

Bruising:
Mushroom is slightly dry but does appear to bruise a darker color, perhaps blue.

Other information:
smells similar to a cubensis.
