did not darken any further after the photos were taken. The observations I am putting up now came from last year before I started collecting and drying specimens, but I will keep my eyes peeled. Summer (wet season) is when we get our full variety of Amanita down here in Florida, so the next few months should be very interesting.

Did the coloration darken after you had the specimen for awhile?

If the color did not darken very much, then A. peckiana is a possibility.

I’d very much like to see a specimen of this if your run into another one.
