Thanks Tom. I’d like to see what you have for comparison. Both photos are of fruit bodies on the same very old dry log.

The lower picture is definitely Xylobolus frustulatus. The top picture is definitely not X.subpileatus, unless it’s been turned and realigned. I have never seen X. subpileatus that far north. Besides it is very shelf-like and not broken up like the lower picture. I’ll post my pic of X subpileatus for comparison.
