Probably unburned

Of these, 5 were from an area burned many years ago; 2 from an unburned area. These are all middle- to older aged specimens. It would make more sense for me simply to ID to genus, so I’m going to edit the observation.

older specimens quite dark?
they do look to have the buttressed/lacunose stipes, and the ridges of snyderi start out yellow.

your specimens show a broad sinus, just like Ron Pastorino’s snyderi here:

and Ron’s examples were DNA confirmed by Kuo!

My flash indoor photos with this camera seem to produce photos which are somewhat redder than the true color. I haven’t yet figured out how to correct the balance.
Also, I’m not very good at ID. Do you think it’s something else?
