Notes: Growing on buried wood. Mixed Quakies and Conifers growing nearby. Black Morels and other mushrooms fruiting in area. I’m somewhat puzzled because information about this mushroom indicates it fruits in late summer to fall. The stalk was fiberous while eating. Reminded me of asparagus stalks. Cap and pores stained/bruised redish/brown, stem (dull gray), slimy cap when wet and yellow pores. Tasted similar to King Boletus.
