Notes: This one was id’ed by member of Société Mycologique de Genève as Hygrocybe virginea, and in checking that name I see that Mushroom Expert has a page on Hygrocybe virginea. Except I looked at these and thought, gee those look like a Camarophyllus. In the notes on the species, it states that the gill trama is interwoven, which is the feature that defines Camarophyllus, so I’m not sure why these are getting listed as a Hygrocybe.
I’m sticking to my guns, and siting the obs. here as Camarophyllus virgineus.
