Observation 13553: Parmelia sulcata Taylor

Notes: Parmelia sulcata has to be one of the most abundant lichens in my immediate area. This particular grouping of lichens was observed on a recently blown-off branch of a birch at a local college campus. The Parmelia sulcata is the central lichen with gray-green thallus, a black reverse, and raised white ridges.
