Notes: Single specimen growing on an untraveled slope between the two tracks of a trail.
The immediate habitat is bare, hard earth. The general locale is mixed native and alien mid-elevation tropical montane forest.

Spotted along Kealia Trail between the 16th and 17th switchbacks from the trailhead. This individual is similar in appearance to Amanita muscaria, but much smaller than the usual size of that species.
