Observation 135651: Entoloma Fr. ex P. Kumm.

When: 2013-06-01

Collection location: Alva, Florida, USA [Click for map]

Who: Benjamin Dion (benjamindion)

Specimen available

Found growing out of extremely sandy soil under old growth oak hammock (mostly live oak) that is also spotted with bald and pond cypress, as well as sabal palms… slash pines are also present, but not as common in the “hammocky” areas (like where these were found). Property was previously owned by the Daniels family, and has historically been a cow pasture for 100+ years (there is currently an active cattle lease on the property).
