Two varieties of prolixa

I beleive that you’ll find the twisted stem in Rhodocollybia distorta, usually named R. prolixa var. distorta. What I have learned about prolixa var. prolixa, is that the stem is more coloured, straight, and lacking the rusty spots on the gills that usually are present in var. distorta.

For me, the stipe R. prolixa is very different. Whiter, tortuous, twisted, and hollow. Should have any part in the ground. See also: http://www.naturamediterraneo.com/.... + . http://www.123pilze.de/....

you’ll see that this belongs to the group around Rhodocollybia prolixa. It even looks like the true prolixa..
