You’re just up the road from me (Roosevelt, western panhandle of Monmouth Co.).

Is there really blue on the cap of this mushroom? Or is it a gray that has obligingly been tinted by the camera and the conditions of the day?

It looks as though the stipe below the partial veil is yellow. Is that accurate?

A gray capped Amanita with long marginal striations, a white partial veil, and yellow on the lower stipe is a puzzle for me (at least before I finished my coffed).

Do you have a mushroom dryer? Or the time to drop by the lab with the mushroom?
