Growing in the desert but in a rest area near cottonwood trees that get watered daily. Seems to be some sort of stinkhorn. Cap is pinkish. Very spongey and damp lower stem with a much drier top portion. Strong smell, not foul, but pungent. Roughly 13-17cm in length
