Recognized by sight: Agaricus based on stature, fibrillose cap, partial veil, pink gills when young, brown gills when older; seemed to stain slightly yellow, but the inside of the stipe was reddish brown. Odor was not distinctive.

Big but not huge

The biggest one was around 100mm across. It’s exactly that they are front the east coast that gave me pause. Also the bulbous base seemed a bit different from what I’ve seen in CA.
