Since there are two different reported eastern NA species of this type of robust wrinkled-cap Psathyrella (P. delineata and P. rugosocephala), and no information on spore size is provided here, “promising” is as good as it gets for now.

Actually, my collections of this type mushroom for which I have scoped the spores (not many) showed spore dimensions that straddled the boundary between what is reported for these two species names.

Mushroom Expert reports that P. delineata grows on wood. But there have been many times I have found this type of psath on the ground.
