Notes: I knew the genus from Australia and after a little research, I’m quite confident it is Cymatoderma caperata. It has been reportedly (is that a word?) found in Florida before.
It was on one of my favorite local walks, the sinkhole nature/birding trail trail off of Country Club Road.
