Observation 136558: Phallus impudicus L.
When: 2013-06-15
No herbarium specimen

Notes: The specimen was found near the top of a hill, forested area. The surrounding trees were mostly Oak, Beech(Fagus) and Hazels, you can notice the surrounding leaves. It grew near a large pile of dried up decomposing branches. It had a powerfull smell that resembled carrion. Also, there were a lot of insects about. I did not try to eat it since it was in the mature stage of growth.
