Notes: Growing on the ground in mixed woods in the Turkey Creek Unit.
Caps up to 4 cm across.
No reticulation on the stipe.
Taste was mild.
Got a sparse spore print but looked like a pinkish brown.
Spores were ~ 7.0-9.0(9.8) X 3.0-3.5(4.0) microns, cylindric with no ornamentation.
KOH on cap negative.
A Tylopilus sp. seems to be the best guess right now but I’m open to any other suggestions.
