About the smell, I would love to define it, I don’t like this smell and I feel it often. (spermatic – resembling the odor of human sperm or semen)

are all safe ;)

Bitter tasting are not recommended ;)

Acrid tasting are not that devilish as said by many – I have eaten many of them without any harm – worst case scenario is GI symptoms.

Summary: you will not die :)

but with much fantasy I could imagine such a smell for it. From the photo alone I couldn’t think of any other species especially given the non-brittle gills too!

Yes, I know

but in this case, I have no doubts about the smell. I was in doubt about the description, because I wasn’t sure about “spermatic” description, but it fits, and it’s strong. The specimen seems old, but was fresh, with no larvae either, even today, dried, it smells the same in all of it, cap and stem.

It rained a lot for 3/4 days, after that, 5 days of sun. It’s very hot, since sunday.

Smell is an individual thing for some persons.

Has it been damaged in some way, it is rather old and wasted, how is weather momentarily at you?

but with this smell? I think R. cyanoxantha has no distinctive smell, doesn’t it?
