Observation 138238: Fungi Bartl.
When: 2013-06-30
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This is a strange creature. I would call it a Gastroid Agaric of some sort. This has a very long stem and the head does not look like it formed gills almost puff ball like. almost like a gastroid Xerula which I have never herd of.

This is something we’ll need to see spores from, Eddeeee.

The extremely long stipe may be indicative of something, or it may indicate the fungus is arrising from buried wood quite deep. The cap reminds me of something, but I can’t put a name on it, yet.

Try to get a photo of spores, and I’ll run it the truffle and truffle-like fungus keys.
