Notes:
Growing on ground under balsam fir and maple in mixed woods. Cap convex, toasty brown, 6 cm, blushing pink brown under cuticle. Stem off white, 11-12 cm x 2-3 cm, solid white flesh, no bruising, tapered , white reticulation at apex and swollen at base. Pores stuffed white at first turning to olive yellow; peel back easily from flesh of cap.
