Observation 138536: Amanita multisquamosa Peck
When: 2013-07-04
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I will admit that I am not so sure about the nomenclature on this anymore. During research of another Amanita, I saw this specimen again listed under another name. But I cant remember now where I was researching from at that time.

Amanita pantherina var. multisquamosa. It is a separate species from pantherina, and “multisquamosa” has priority given the current Code of Nomenclature. So you may have seen two other names, but the one you used is the currently correct one.
