Differs from Elaphocordyceps capitata?

How many of these look alikes are there? At one time there was C. capitata and C. canadensis which were very close macroscopically.

Please encourage collection of the hypogeous host too!

Not many Eastern Elaphomyces have found their way into herbaria in the West, and I know of a couple of mycologists who would love to compare them.
