Observation 138794: Baorangia bicolor (Kuntze) G. Wu, Halling & Zhu L. Yang
When: 2013-07-05
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I don’t think these small red and yellow boletes represent anything in the bicolor complex. The cap color is a different shade of red than I associate with bicolor, a dark blood-red. The cap surface bruises blackish. Very little bruising/staining on other parts of the mushroom. Doesn’t seem to fit the profile of either sensibilis or pseudosensibilis either. Rubellus/fraternus seems very unlikely, as well.

has stipes not quite as rosy as seen here obs 244688. Otherwise, the two observations show very similar boletes.
