Observation 138940: Amanita citrina group auct. amer.

Scoured the same area in which I found 138517 to take better photos and notes. I think I got lucky. There are two specimens pictured, and both are currently being dried.

Hello, Josh. It took us some time to get to this collection; however, it has been carefully stored in the meantime. The spores are amyloid. I’ll report more later. The striate cap margin is something I’ve never seen in the lavendula group; so I think it will be worthwhile to schedule this material to be sampled for DNA sequencing.

I received Persoonia volume 5 in the mail, but they only sent pages 1-284. Bas’ monograph starts on page 285. My emails about this error haven’t received a response either after about a week and a half. Vexations and tribulations…
