Observation 139218: Amanita flavoconia var. flavoconia
When: 2013-07-07
No herbarium specimen

Notes: On moss covered ground under balsam fir and cedar in mixed woods. I collected one button on 7/7/13 and left the larger one. When I went back on 7/8/13 the largest button was still there but slug eaten along with a third button. Caps on all three are yellow orange with yellow patches (one with a very distinct orange umbo), no striations, with intact whitish partial veils. Yellow remnants of the universal veil under partial veil and/or top of bulb as well as on the cap.
