On moss covered ground under balsam fir and cedar. Cap +5 cm., convex, tomato red with darker center, thin flesh, cuticle peels 1/2 radius leaving pink blush. Gills white, close, broad, adnex. Stem 8 cm. × 2 cm., white with red blush midway. Taste mild, Odor not distinctive. No bruising.
