Debbie, I think it was found after lunch, unfortunately it was not collected…. I really need to get a tackle box.

These kinda look like Cyptotrama asprata also. That one I think is more shockingly yellow to yellow-orange, where this one is just brown to tan. Also this one is brown spored, and Cyptotrama is white spored (if I remember correctly…). I’m not sure someone has come up with an obs of Cyptotrama asprata from Cali., but there have been a few rare sitings of Flammulaster muricata on the CA coast it seems.

did you collect that one after lunch? would’ve loved to have seen it in the flesh…
