Notes: Growing on edge of lawn under tree adjacent mixed conifer-sugar maple woodland.

A big mushroom with tan-coloured cap roughly 5.5 inches (14cm) in diameter, cap margin split in places. Bits of veil adherent in partial ring on the stalk.

Young mushroom nearby had spherical light brownish cap eaten by insec/slug in places.
