I believe this collection was my first for this type. Summer 2013 seemed to have been a real big season for this species. I made several subsequent collections in several different locations. Seems like other MO members had similar experiences.

I just checked the Wax Cap book, and laeta is described as having variable cap color. So the photos in the book don’t match up with the color of my collection. Also, checking my notes, “sticky like super glue” is not a good description of this collection. I think I confused this with others I brought home the other day. The ones in this post were actually slippery… difficult to handle.
