On ground under balsam fir in mixed woods. Cap yellow orange with darker orange center and cream colored patches. White gills. Whitish partial veil. White stem with volval remnants at base.

I posted two additional photos,

that show the yellow flesh under the cuticle and the stem cut longitudinally. I didn’t see any red stain at the base. Cream colored volval remnants were present on the lower portion of the stipe and in the soil when I removed the FB.
