Notes: On ground under balsam fir in mixed woods. Cap up to 7 cm., convex becoming sunken in age, pale yellow with darker yellow orange center, wrinkled margin in age. Gills yellowish, subdecurrent in age. Stem white, no blush. No distinctive odor. No bruising. Peppery taste. Cream spore deposit.
