Based on microscopic features: Microscopy by Alonso. All fruit bodies collected today had two types of cheilocystidia, confirming the ID. The macroscopic lookalikes are P. fagicola, P. banderillensis and P. heimii, all of which have different cheilocystidia. P. fagicola and P. banderillensis have one type of cheilocystidia, and P. heimii has two types of chilocystidia, one being large and cylindrical.
