Observation 140182: Psilocybe pelliculosa (A.H. Sm.) Singer & A.H. Sm.
When: 2013-07-16
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Hopefully I got all the pics labeled right, using a new system…
the specimens showed bluing on the dried material. They were collected in the fall, 2012.

So the features match well for P. pelliculosa but it has small pleurocystidia.
My thought is that the small cystidia were missed in the type collection, or it is variable in the species.
Psilocybe washingtonensis Guzman, has spores which are " (6-) 6.6·7.5 (-8) x 3.8-4.5 µm " and " Pleurocystidia 38-56 (-64) x 9-12" given these sizes, and the presence of psilocybin in the collection I can say that it is not Psilocybe washingtonensis, which should be moved to Deconica

Spores: Ellipsoid in face view, thick walled, with germ pore .

No annulus, thin, dark fibrillose stipe, bluing blue at the base and no where else, thin cap with striations.
All these point away from P. ovoideocystidia, as well as many other features, plus there arent any Ovoid cystidia haha
