I doubt these are bicolor…

… based on the fact that pileipellis readily stains blue. The red color is way too vivid for the species, but that could be the artifact of digital photography.

I’ve seen bicolor which bruises dark blue.

These are showing black bruises. I’ve seen this on red/yellow boletes, and it always makes me wonder about the ID.

Very shallow depth of tube layer seen in cross section is a good way to support a bicolor proposal.
