Notes: Can anyone confirm with some certainty that this is an edible? No gills, just wrinkles underneath. Found in woods mostly comprised of hickory trees.

That is a smooth chanterelle. They are common under oak in Ohio this time of year. Where you find one you can usually fill a grocery bag with a little searching.
