from Fork Ridge trail, GSMNP
Pileus: (20)42-70mm, 10A6-7, 10B6, 10C8, 5A6, 10D8-E8, cylindrical to pulvinate when
young becoming occasionally convex to frequently applanate, depressed, smooth,
cushiony, glutinous in disc and sticky at margin, viscid when wet, rugulose around disc; margin even, decurved to straight, lightly TCS; odor none, taste buttery and nutty; cuticle
peels ¾ to all the way; KOH orange; SP B
Lamellae: adnexed, white, finely fimbricate, marginate at margin, guaiac –
Stipe: (29)66-76 x (5)8-14mm, white with pink 10A4 minute granule dots concentrated towards base (base is white), MLR; context white, solid with chambers, soft; FeSO4 light brown pink on surface and context, guaiac -, PDAB magenta
