Pink hymenium

Interesting. Are you suggesting there is a C. spectaculus look-alike in the east? I find this this mushroom often. Thin yellow stipe, prominent false gills, pinkish hymenium in age. The ones with the wrinkled caps and false gills grow right next to the ones without these features. I’ll send out a few specimens with my other collections that I’ll be sending you. Thanks.

Is there any way you could send a small collection? I don’t think this is C. spectaculus… I’d like to add this to my molecular analysis and research the DNA of these specimens.
