Maroon area is from KOH
This is inside under compact fluorescent bulbs & flash so it looks almost purple, but definitely NOT lilac. I may take another shot in the sun tomorrow.

Recognized by sight: That is the true color of the pores — bright yellow orange. Very solid, larger than my fist. Growing on a VERY large dead log.
