Smallish which fits S.areolatum. Dry cool weather conditions follow very wet weather.

Did you open any of these, Walt?

Were any mature?

Eva just reported a similar Scleroderma that has a gray interior. According to Kuo’s key at MushroomsExpert, may be S. michiganense.

Your obs. certain has the “dried mud” peridium appearance of S. areaoltum, but hot windy hot weather can mimic that appearance. How has the weather been treating you?
