What is the substrate for this specimen?
i have only seen this species growing on old polypores (e.g. Fomitopsis pinicola, Piptoporus betulinus).
The specimens i have seen, were always much more cushion-shaped (hence the name pulvinata).
I assume that you used cotton blue / lactophenol for the staining?
phloxine is pink-red, and is used for basidiomycetes mainly (it stains cell contents, works very well for jelly fungi).
Nicely shown – what is the blue stain in the last photo – Phloxine?
