On ground under balsam fir, birch and white cedar. Cap grayish white, 28 mm.,dry, thick flesh, in-rolled margin. Gills whitish, narrow, decurrent. Stem white, 20 mm. × 5 mm. Flesh of stem and cap white and non-staining. Distinctive odor and taste I can’t put into words other than to say it it first reminded me of bleach (a friend said cucumber or watermelon rind). Spore deposit pale pink. KOH on cap surface negative.
