Observation 141826: Panellus stipticus (Bull.) P. Karst.

Small group of light brown gilled fungi growing on dead branch. When touched, for a short few moments my fingers felt sticky. This then changed to a resin type of touch which also did not last long. Again I had trouble in getting a spore print, (unless they were white and I could not see them), and I also had great difficulty in producing any real scope images. One surprising occurance was that the dried specimen became very brittle. I have not experienced this before, however my experience is limited. I have loaded some images in the event they assist with an ID.
