This looks like it might be something new…or a faded example of A. arkansana. May I see the herbarium material?

Wet oak and hickory forest

Slightly bitter, mild flavor raw (spat out) with an astringent aftertaste.
Smell is faint but a little like clean water.
Over 12 inches tall.
