Observation 141964: Gymnopus confluens (Pers.) Antonín, Halling & Noordel.

Found growing in dense troops under American Beech
caps bell shaped as immature becoming uplifted at the edges upon aging. light Tan becoming brownish at the center.
Gills white very close to crowded. fine spore print white
stems 4 to 8 cm long slightly velvety flacks, tan, brownish bruising dark brown when crushed Attached to a cottony bloom in the leaf litter.
