Observation 142026: Albatrellus Gray

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fruiting in mixed forest next to montane snowmelt. Willow, Alder, Doug fir, Ponderosa pine and Wetern red cedar in canopy.

Cap- pinkish, with blue staining on mature specimens. 6-8cm wide.
Yellow staining where handled under cap on pore surface and stem.
Stem- thick, slightly twisted and hollow. 8-10cm.

Fruiting from rotten wood and duff- possibly buried log.

Temp: upper 70’s.

Elevation: 4,501ft.
