6.5cm cap diameter, growing on ground under mixed hardwoods (oak, ash, beech). Olive-brown spore print. Spindle-shaped spores 12-13 × 5-6µ. KOH quickly stains cap dark red-maroon color. Species?

I don’t think this one is in B-R-B. Lovely colors and interesting morphology. The pore surface/color suggests it could be Xerocomus species… Did you preserve it, Brian?
