Observation 142242: Arcangeliella crassa Singer & A.H. Smith

Growing on the ground at the base of a Doug Fir @ ~ 7000 ft.
Largest was 5.8 cm across.
White milk noted when freshly cut.
Taste acrid.
Amyloid spores ~ 7.9-10.0 X 6.0-7.0 microns, ellipsoid and reticulate.

They did had an odor

I’ve never seen them that large.

Notice any odor, or were they immature?
