Notes: Cap up to 80 mm., red/yellow and scaly looking, dry, thick yellow flesh bruising pink. Pores dingy yellow bruising brown, angular. Stem 60 mm. × 10 mm., scurfy, reddish like cap, whitish partial veil in button, yellow at apex above ring remnants. On ground under hemlock in mixed woods that include white pine.
