Notes: On mossy ground in mixed woods. Clustered FB’s. Cap up to 28 mm., convex, orange, flat and darker disc, irregular, wavy, lined yellow margin. Gills orange yellow, attached. Stem 55 mm. × 4-6 mm., curved, zoned yellow orange, hollow.

I don’t have my field notes from last year but will look when I get home. I believe the cap to be dry as I would have noted otherwise but I may or may not have looked at it under the hand lens. The rest of the description seems to fit—especially the yellow lined scalloped cap margin. It definitely wasn’t H. cantharellus nor H. squamulosa which are two of its look alikes.
